  • Special project – Gate resource

I finally got to an admin project that I’ve been wanting to get to for a long time!

This week, I created a new Gate Reconciliation and Till Count Sheet in Excel in the hope that it will be a useful baronial resource.  I started with re-creating the current, confusing Till Count Sheet in what I hope is a better walk through of the process.  From there, I created a Gate Reconciliation spreadsheet based on that form, with the idea being that each till would fill one sheet out on site, and that info would be filled in on its own tab on the event’s Gate Reconciliation spreadsheet, with the first tab of the spreadsheet totaling everything for our final report for us.

My aim was to be consistent throughout, and to have the labels, prices, etc. all in the same order as the final Event Financial Report to hopefully have everything move smoothly in that direction.

I am very happy to have finally done this project I’ve been planning on for about a decade, and am stupidly proud of the results, as only an Excel geek can be, though I know it still needs real-world testing and feedback. Message me if you’d like the latest version or one customized for your event’s needs.
